On 9th May 2009 OPEN SOURCE AMSTERDAM, an art event in the public space, opens in the socalled 'Bijlmer', one of the most interesting – but also one of the most challenging – areas in Amsterdam. This blog traces the 'making of' the event, providing an insight into the up-and-downs of creating a large scale exhibition.
Battling wind speeds of up to 60 km/h a brave crane operator hoisted our new little office up on the roof. Balancing on the edge of the façade, this crow’s nest will be our new home until the parking garage is demolished.
